Dress Up or Dress Down

Nike’s Air Force 1’s: a sneaker that belongs in a class of their own. These shoes were designed in 1982, 38 years ago, and haven’t lost their spark since. In my opinion, I think this is probably because of the many ways you can wear them and pair them. These shoes have actually recently became one of my go-to, everyday shoes because of this exact reason. At first, I bought these shoes simply because everybody in my school was wearing them, but now I find myself walking out the door each morning and choosing to pair them with almost every outfit. Some outfits I will pair my white Air Force 1’s with are a sweater and jeans, a skirt with a patterned shirt, a simple dress, or an average lazy day outfit of a cozy sweatshirt and leggings. These sneakers are very basic, sleek and simple, which is what gives them the ability to be dressed up or dressed down so easily. Not only can you not really go wrong with how you wear these shoes, but they are fairly affordable too. Air Force 1’s sell for about $90 and are very accessible as you can find them on almost any website that sells shoes. (If you’re experienced with online shopping like me, you can often find coupons and get them for cheaper!!) Something else that is important and also convenient about these shoes is that they are not limited to a certain gender. Air Force 1’s are worn by men, women, girls and boys and sold all over the world. I can go to a basketball game, a restaurant, the gym, school, or even to church and at each one of these places I always see several people wearing this shoe. Do you see the variety of those places I listed? That is crazy. I cannot think of any other shoe that you could possibly wear to the gym, that you could also wear to church, which brings me back to my point that Air Force 1’s can be worn with almost anything.
